Word of The Day:

Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely, I am with you always, to the very end of the age. (Matthew 28:19-20)

Strategies

In the power of and with the help of the Holy Spirit, GEBEF/BEFB intends to accomplish its mission through the following activities:

1. Bringing together members for prayer meetings and studying the Word of God

GBEF/BEFB members are all Christians journeying to heaven. As such, they too require replenishing of their spiritual strength so that they can fulfill their mandate; for no one can give to others what they themselves lack. For this reason, members should set aside time for prayer and worship. These moments will be dedicated to listening to God’s Word, studying and scrutinizing the scriptures, as well fasting and praying for God’s work.

These meetings can be held online, using different virtual platforms such as zoom. Where possible, members can also meet in person in agreed venues.

2. Organize evangelistic gatherings

On their own or in collaboration with other like minded Christians or Christian organizations, members can plan evangelical meetings and crusades. These meetings and gatherings can be held using all available mediums; be they virtual or in person.

3. Design and disseminate online learning material for the wider public

Direct evangelism done by the members includes preparing teachings, sermons and testimonies that are shared with the public over up-to-date online platforms such as YouTube channels, the organization’s website, television (the organization’s channel or other channels) and any current or future technology vetted by members.

4. Encourage and equip members to preach the Word of God wherever they are in the world

In its strategies, the organization encourages its members to spread the Gospel in their contexts and supports them in these efforts. In response to members’ invitation, the organization can send out volunteers to support evangelistic activities organized by members or their respective churches. The organization also encourages the members’ creative and innovative initiatives geared toward collaborative evangelism.

In this regard, and within the limits of its capacity, the organization assists those members who are already missionaries in different corners of the earth in the fulfillment of their responsibilities. This assistance can take different forms, including encouragement, prayer and finances.

5. Bringing the Gospel to the world through missionary teams

The organization intends, within its means, to choose, prepare and send missionaries in countries or parts of the world where they are most needed.

The main purpose of the ministry of transforming people into disciples of Jesus is not to send missionaries in foreign countries but to bring the word of God in the world through missionaries. The regulations of the organization provide the selection requirements and criteria for missionaries.

6. Collaborating with like minded partners

God has called people from different categories and different nations for this ministry. Therefore, in evangelizing and missionary activities, we collaborate with individuals and organizations that share the beliefs, the doctrinal tenets, values of our organization and its members. Pursuant to this, the Organization puts emphasis on the following:

(1) Promoting partnership with other Christian organizations and individuals who have the same beliefs as the members of the Organization;

(2) Working together with partners in designing studies, various training sessions and other activities that strengthen Christian faith;

(3) Training church leaders with the aim of reviving in them the missionary vision;

(4) Work with churches that share our beliefs in sending out missionaries.

7. Mobilize resources to support the ministry of God

The Lord’s work has always required a lot of resources. For example, our ancestors required gold and other precious stones, they needed cedar from Lebanon, they needed silver and denarius. Similarly, the task God has entrusted us with requires generous contributions from members, the support from donors and other benefactors to achieve its various goals.

The members of the Organization have the responsibility to give an annual contribution which is determined by the General Assembly. The competent organs of the ‘Fellowship’ mobilize other people and organizations to support its activities of the various ways, such as donations, inheritance, and others. GBEF/BFEB may also engage in income generation activities only insofar as they contribute directly to the fulfillment of its evangelical mission.

8. Evangelizing through a holistic approach to witnessing for Christ

The Organization thoroughly assesses the contextual needs of local communities and works with them to finds solutions as a means of access for sharing the Gospel. GBEF/BFEB thus intervenes in certain areas such as health, socio-economic condition, entertainment, arts, education, and others. It also encourages new believers to keep their secular jobs and professions so that they may maintain decent living standards, help others and support God’s work.
